Life Resurrected

Updated: Feb 3

How did I come up with the name of this blog?

This title was inspired by my life experiences leading up to a recent horrific event that pushed me to share my testimony.

Have you ever failed at something? Like finishing that degree, achieving that job promotion, starting a business, or a marriage? Or striving to ensure your children are healthy and thriving, just trying to have that perfect life—or so you think? What if God is truly trying to "tell you something"? I know it sounds cliché, but really. He might be trying to get your attention.

It all starts with who He called you to be. God will not build on another’s foundation. When you allow Him to lead you, He tears down the old life and gives you a new one, free from wrong identities or the pressures of keeping up with the world.

God created all of us with gifts and talents, both spiritual and natural, to be used for His glory. They not only enhance our lives effortlessly (you don’t have to work for a gift; you simply receive it), but they also work for you, bringing opportunities that will prosper you (Proverbs 18:16).

As for me, having gone through two divorces, getting stuck with student loans but not the bachelor's degree, a career-ending traumatic experience, and facing the challenges of raising a wonderful child diagnosed with Autism, God has shown me that none of these things define me. He has greater plans for me. Also, I never would’ve known the possibility of miracles God could do in my son if he hadn't been afflicted (Jeremiah 29:11).

What is God speaking to you about His plans for you? What is the purpose behind the pain, the message behind the mess, and the reward in the journey?
